For twenty or so years, the Campus Crusade organization has used a booklet called the Four Spiritual Laws which they use for witnessing on college campuses throughout the nation. Because it ties in so well with the basics we have been studying I shall present here the scriptural references they use for this endeavor because I think they outline so well and concisely the proper relationship with God through Christ.
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, That whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life."
John 10:10 ..."I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly."
God loves you and has a guiding hand in your life
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
In man's sin he cannot know God but through Jesus Christ
Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
I Corinthians 15:3-6 ...that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that He appeared to Cephas (Peter), then to the twelve. 6 After that He appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time...
John 14:6 ..."I am the way, and the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, but through Me.
He died for us, was raised, and He is the only path to God
John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become the children of God, even to those who believe in His name...
Ephesians 2:8,9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not as a result of works, that no one should boast."
John 3:1-8 Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2 This man came to Him by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher, for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him." 3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." 4 Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born, can he? 5 Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, "You must be born again." 8 The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going, so is everyone who is born of the Spirit."
Revelation 3:20 "Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him."
We must accept Christ through faith, experience the spiritual rebirth by our own free will, and He will come to us
In summary: I John 5:11-13 "And the witness is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life, he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may know that you have eternal life."
Is there any reason why you should not make your decision for Christ today?
It will be the best choice you ever made.... and you will know that you know.
Just say this prayer from your heart and it will be done:
Father I know that I am a sinner, and I repent of my sin today. This very day Lord, I accept Jesus as my personal savior. I want Jesus to come into my life and dwell in me, and change me from inside-out. I ask for the baptism of the Holy Spirit Lord, that I may henceforth live as a true Christian, that in all of my thoughts, words, and deeds I may live for you.
